Jacques Yves Cousteau was a French naval officer, innovator, inventor, author, film director, photographer, scientist, researcher, but was most known for being a groundbreaking explorer, smashing down the barriers of how far to go or how to do it. He revolutionized scuba diving, deep underwater exploration, and living to protect marine life. His explorations inspire people still today, and his legacy lives on, as people go on explorations in honor of the explorer extraordinaire; from the largest journey to the Arctic, or just a trip to the local park, with one goal in common: to discover and learn new things about nature, and how to live harmoniously with wildlife, just like Jacques did all his life, through exploring.
