the exploration of jacques cousteau
Jacques Cousteau has traveled basically everywhere. But he did more than just take a plane and do usual tourist activities. He usually got to his destination on his boat, the Calypso. He would rarely go on land, and scuba dive for the duration of his trip. The reason why people classify him as an explorer because he explored in places people would rarely go, underwater. He would explore and classify new species of marine life, like plants and animals. He would also discover and explore shipwrecks. He would also use his extensive knowledge of marine biology to help preserve underwater wildlife. Thanks to him and his boat, Calypso (pictured above) the doors were opened to underwater exploration and conservation. The pictures below some of his exploration destinations:
